He was a member of the National Guard and an Army veteran. While serving in Vietnam he attained the rank of sergeant. During his military service he received numerous medals and awards. He was a member of the VFW Post No. 26 in Lepanto.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
Survivors include his daughter, Sonya Hall of Marked Tree; two sisters, Jackie Cochran and Glenda Jones, both of Marked Tree; and two brothers, Jake HAYSE and Ted HAYSE, both of Marked Tree.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 12 at Murphy Funeral Home Chapel with Patrick Tucker officiating.
Active pallbearers were Joe Eaton, Adam Horton, Darrell Bell, Houston Jones, Keith Steele and Carl Cantrell. Honorary pallbearers were Donald Ray Ford, Randy Hayes and James Roberts.
Burial followed in Potter Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto.
