Columbus Weaver Carter

Columbus Weaver Carter, 79, died Sept. 30at Monette Manor in Monette.

He was born Sept. 10, 1927 at Athens, Ala. He was a factory worker and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emery Carter and Lossie Gathlin; four sisters: Macy Carter, Opal Roach, Mable Harris and Flora Mae Hall; and two brother: T.C. Carter and Rufus Carter.

Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Hendrix of Mt. Vernon, Ill.; one sister, Joyce Kelly of Lepanto; three brothers: Thomas Henry Carter, Spence Douglas Carter and William Carter. all of Lepanto; and two grandchildren.

Services were held Tuesday at Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza with burial following at Potters Cemetery in Lepanto. Officiating minister was Jeff Miles with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
