Donnie "Hoppy" Taylor

Donnie "Hoppy" Taylor, 55, of Tyronza died Wednesday, Oct. 11 at his residence.

He was a construction supervisor for Murphy and Sons, Inc and a member of the Upper Room Apostolic Church. He served in the National Guard for eight years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Taylor of the home; two sons: Donne Taylor and Christopher Taylor, both of Tyronza; one daughter, Jennifer Graham of Bono; seven brothers: Jimmy Taylor of Flint, Mich., Morris Ray Taylor of Lepanto, Jerry Lewis Taylor of Lepanto, Allen Taylor of Turrell and Howard Taylor and Ronnie Taylor, both of Howe, Ind.; five sisters: Betty Ruth Kelley of Earle, Joyce Gilbert of Marked Tree, Linda Kay Blagg of Heafer and Janice Young and Carol Tacker, both of Tyronza.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 13 at Murphy Funeral Home Chapel in Marked Tree with Lynn Vinson officiating. Burial followed in Tyronza Cemetery.

Pallbearers included Shawn Welch, Brian Welch, Chuck Lowery, Scottie Blagg, Wade Young and Jason Gilbert.
