Marvin James, 82, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006 at the family residence in Marked Tree.

Born in Patterson on Friday, March 7, 1924, he was the son of the late Robert James "Bob" and Effie Mae Dairl Taylor. He had lived most of his lifetime in the Weona and Marked Tree area. He was a farm manager for Hyneman & Associates, Inc. in Weona and a member of the Liberty Street Church of Christ in Marked Tree.

Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Taylor; five sisters; four brothers and his parents.

Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Wages and Diane Malone both of Marked Tree; a son, Bobby Taylor of Crestview, Fla.; one brother, Robert Taylor of Ill.; seven grandchildren, Chuck Malone, Bryan Malone, Richie Wages, Kim Carter, Michael Wages, Tekesha Taylor and Eric Taylor and eight great-grandchildren, Matthew Malone, Lindsey Malone, Ethan Malone, Taylor Wages, Peyton Carter, Macy Carter, Gage Jones and Ryan Wages.

Funeral services were Saturday, Dec. 30 at the Liberty Street Church of Christ in Marked Tree, with Ronnie Benson and Nolan Glover officiating. Burial followed in the Marked Tree Cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann.

Pallbearers were grandsons, Chuck, Bryan, Richie, Michael, Eric and Linc Carter.

Honorary pallbearers were great-grandchildren.
