Billy Ray Young, 73, of Cabot, passed away Feb. 1, 2007.

Born in Manila, he was a member of the Trumann First Assembly of God Church before moving to Cabot, and was currently a member of McArthur Assembly of God Church in Jacksonville. He was retired from the US Army National Guard, SSG/E6, Engineering Battalion of Marked Tree.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Preston and Delma Lee Young.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Young; daughters, Kathy Fewell and husband Dr. Ron Fewell, and Demetris Clark and husband Kevin; brother, Bruce Young and wife Becky; sisters, Melda Redden and husband Carl, and Sherry Burrow and husband Bruce; and granddaughter Ashley Clark.

Funeral services were Monday, Feb. 5, 2007 at the McArthur Assembly of God Church in Jacksonville. Interment followed at the Nettleton Cemetery in Jonesboro.
