Raised in Lepanto, he graduated from Arkansas State University where he served as president of both the Student Government Association and of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity which he later served as field secretary and national rush shairman. He was administrative assistant to Arkansas Governor Orval Faubus and later became a consultant in the health care field. He was a pilot, a 32nd degree Mason and served as a Captain in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by a brother, James "Jim" S. Browning of Memphis and many friends and family.
Graveside services were Saturday, June 9 at Potter Cemetery.
