Emmitt Norman Nelson, 70, of Lepanto died Saturday, June 16, 2007, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born Feb. 19, 1937, in Cushman, he was a crane operator and of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Nelson and Pearl Nelson; and four brothers, J.H. Nelson, R.V. Nelson, Willie Nelson and Billy Nelson.

Survivors include one son, Jerry Nelson of Davenport, Iowa; four daughters: Kathy Musgrave, Debbie Nelson and Judy Genung, all of Muscatine, Iowa and Sandy Nelson of Davenport, Iowa; two sisters: Katherine Britt and Joanie Phillips, both of Lepanto; one brother, Jimmy Nelson of Lepanto; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Tuesday, June 19 at Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza with Bro. Larry Deaton officiating. Burial followed in Potters Cemetery in Lepanto.
