James Preston Meadows, 30, of Mechanicsville, Md., died July 17th, 2007 at his home.

He was the loving husband of Amy Katherine Ford Meadows, formerly of Marked Tree, and the father of a daughter, Gabrielle Elaine Meadows of La Plata, Md., and son, Easton Greene Meadows, of Mechanicsville.

He was a devoted father, husband, son, brother, and friend. He was a master electrician by trade and co-owner of Excell Electric. He truly loved spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. His smile, laugh and sense of humor are unforgettable.

Born August 2, 1976, in Silver Spring, Maryland, he was the son of Ted H. and Catherine Ann Meadows of Charlotte Hall, Md.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Daniel and Margaret Hudson and Roy and Thelma Meadows, and his young nephew, William James Meadows.

In addition to his wife, children and parents he is survived by, brother, Michael A. Meadows and his wife, Tara, of Bryantown; sisters, Christina M. Estevez and her husband, Jay, of Mechanicsville and Mary C. Rice and he husband, Rocky, of Newburg. He was also loved by his nephews, Anthony T. Meadows, Preston C. Estevez, Logan M. Meadows; nieces, Emilie R. Rice; Faith E. Meadows, and Madison N. Rice.

Pallbearers were Michael A. Meadows, Jay Estevez, Rocky Rice, Danny Wood, Donnie Wood, Mark Fields, and Anthony Meadows

Visitation services were held July 20th at Arehart-Echols Funeral Home in LaPlata. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated July 21 at St. Mary's Newport Church, Charlotte Hall. Burial was at the church cemetery.
