Willie Dallas Burns Jr., 63, of Marked Tree died Monday, Oct. 8, at Methodist Hospital in Memphis.

He was born in Tyronza on Feb. 20, 1944, into the family of Willie Dallas Burns Sr. and Mollie Phillips Burns. He was a tree trimmer and was of the Baptist belief.

Survivors include two sons, Jason Burns of Jonesboro and Jeremy Gray of East Alton, Ill.; two brothers, Louis Burns of Jonesboro and Mervin Burns of Clearwater, Fla.; five sisters, Madeline Dunham of Black Oak, Vandy Kelly of Lansing, Mich., Louise Gibbs of Black Oak, Betty Burns of Marked Tree and Kathy Risenhoover of Pocahontas; a grandchild, Heaven Burns; and a former wife, Susie Burns of Marked Tree.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 4 p.m. in Church of God in Marked Tree with Patrick Tucker officiating.
