Ruth Opal White, 97, of Cherokee Village, formerly of Marked Tree, died at her home on Friday, Oct. 26. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion F. White.

She is survived by four daughters, Maxine Talley of Marked Tree, Amy Blysma of Washington, Mo., Carolyn Carroll of Mountain View and Mildred Carroll of Cherokee Village; one son, Jerry W. White of Cherokee Village;16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 29 at Neiswander Baptist Church in Marked Tree with burial in Marked Tree Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Citizens Funeral Home of West Memphis.
