He was a member of the Church of God and a retired police officer.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Swan Comstock of Marked Tree; a daughter, Betty Spurlin and her husband Larry of Memphis; sisters, Charlsie Garrison and her husband, Homer, of Marked Tree, and Opal Armstrong of Middle River, Md.; one grandson, Dean Rickvalsky and his wife, Kara, of Spring Hill, Tenn.; one step-grandson, Tyler Spurlin and his wife, Natasha, of Arlington, Tenn.; one step-granddaughter, Laura Crook and husband, Mike, of Atoka, Tenn.; one great-grandson, Maddox Rickvalsky of Spring Hill, Tenn.; two step-grandchildren, Kyle and Madalyn Crook of Atoka, Tenn.; three brother-in-laws and two sister-in-laws.
Services were held Saturday, Oct. 27 at the Church of God in Marked Tree. Patrick Tucker officiated at the service. Burial was at Marked Tree Cemetery under the direction of Murphy Funeral Home.
