Mrs. Cora Lee Williams, 97, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007, at the family resident in Marked Tree

She was born on Saturday, Jan. 1, 1910, daughter of the late Resse Harvey and Minerva Bell Poe Rowe. She was born in Mississippi and had lived in Marked Tree for the past 67 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Corner's Chapel Baptist Church in Payneway.

Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Waymon Williams; one son, Donald Williams; one daughter, Lula Bell Carroll; grandsons, Donnie Williams and Ronald Russell, David Williams, Crogen Everett Williams, Jr., and her parents.

Survivors include four daughters, Lucille Williams and Mono Faye O'Shields both of Marked Tree, Tedola Hammack of Poplar Bluff, and Barbara Russell of Ash Flat; seven sons, Harvey Williams of Yerington, Nev., Douglas Williams of Freemont, Calif., C.E. Williams of O'Fallon, Mo., Dennis Williams of Mt. Washington, Kent., Rudolph Williams, Michael Williams and Roger Williams all of Marked Tree; 29 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Monday, Nov. 12 at the Corner's Chapel Baptist Church in Payneway with Rev. Glenn Hurst and Rev. George Fink officiating. Burial followed in the Marked Tree Cemetery in Marked Tree under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.

Pallbearers were Butch Hatley, Jimmy Gallion, Calvin Williams, Daniel Williams, Greg East, and Wayne Stein. Honorary pallbearers will be Barry Jones and Sidney Phillips.
