He was born Dec. 16, 1928 the son of Dewey Lee Capooth and Elzetta Mae Pinkston of Ramer, Tenn. He was a World War II veteran, a farmer in Black Oak and a retired supervisor for Martin Oil Company.
He was preceded in death by his childhood sweetheart, Barbara Barton and one son, John Warren Capooth, Jr.
Survivors include: two sisters, Linda Kay Allen and Loretta Moore of Marked Tree; three daughters, Sandra Kay Hale of Brownstown, Sharon Rose McCall of Allen Park, Barbara Gaye Capooth of Woodhaven; six grandchildren: Kristie Spino, Justin Pronyk, Marni Burgess, Jessica Collins, Mariam Fadel and Youssef Fadel; and 11 great-grandchildren: Jacob Spino, Jordon Pappas, Carter Spino, Lianas Pronyk, John Wiesnewski Jr., Julie Burgess, Justin Pronyk II, Vincent Wiesnewski, Warren Wiesnewski, Elijah Collins and Erin Burgess.
