Glenn Turpin

Glenn Turpin, 76, of Harrisburg, formerly of Lepanto, passed away Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007, in St. Bernards Medical Center at Jonesboro.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13 in Harrisburg First Baptist Church with interment following in Potters Cemetery at Lepanto.

Turpin, an electrician, was a member of First Baptist Church at Harrisburg, the Rotary, Lions Club and Kiwanis. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his son, Bobby Turpin, father of Jonathon Turpin.

He is survived by his wife, Tommie Smith Turpin of Harrisburg; three daughters, Glenda Bryan of Marion, Jackie Tyler of West Memphis and Peggie Orrell of Monticello; one son, Mark Turpin of Morrilton; two sisters, Robbie Snyder of Trumann and Betty Portman of Oveedo, Fla.; one brother, Lynn Turpin of Belleville, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may go to First Baptist Church at Harrisburg or the American Cancer Society.
