He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lepanto and a farmer.
Survivors include his wife Betty Dixon of Lepanto; one son, Jimmy Dixon of Lepanto; one daughter, Vickey Hobbs of Lepanto; seven sisters, Brenda White of Bald Knob, Sarah Vest of Patterson, Bonnie Harris of McCrory, Zula McCain of Leechville, Mary Beth Harper of Adona, Sharon Watson of Bald Knob, Dorothy Hicks of Jonesboro; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Friday, Dec. 28 at Murphy Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Duffel officiating.
Pallbearers were Scott Begley, Jimmy Dixon, Danny Hobbs, Jimmy Sipes, Kevin Truelove, and Joshua Keith.
Burial followed at Potter Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto.
