Formerly of Baldwin, Miss, he was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church, a barber and served in the Army.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl Gamble , J.W. Gamble and Elledge Gamble; and two sisters, Pearl Waters and Mable McGee.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Gamble; one son, Dewayne Gamble; and three sisters, Nadine Carpenter of Baldwin, Miss., Grace Lee of Meridian, Miss., and Louise Thompson of Union Grove, Wis.
Services were at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 12 at Trinity Baptist Church with Rick Kimery officiating.
Active pallbearers were Greg Prentice, V.L. Ragan, Roger Kimery, Aubray Ratton and Andrew Kimery. Honorary pallbearers were the men of Trinity Baptist Church. Burial followed at the Marked Tree Cemetery.
