The Tri-City Tribune is excited to announce the winners of the 2008 Stamp Out Smoking Coloring Contest. Kindergarten through third graders throughout the Tri-City area competed in the contest with more than 300 entries received.

Stop Smoking

By JONATHAN SUMMER

I can handle crackin' and smackin;

But when you smoke, I don't joke.

You will be stankey and crankey.

I know that you can't see

But you have to listen to me.

Don't think you are cool

Cause you are just a fool.

Now get your crazy addicted self

up off the couch

Get out and get control, or you'll get cancer

And get no answer.

You must fly or just die.

Stop smoking so you won't be chokin'.

I don't care who you are

Your just goin' way to far.

Smoking Isn't Joking

By JAMOCA MOESHA ALLEN

You're my friend, but smoking isn't joking

And you wind up choking

And you end up killing yourself

I know you think smoking can ease your pain

Not, smoking is our new rule game.

Cancer gives you bad teeth, stinky breath and dirty clothes

If you want to be like that you might as well start

But just to let you know, you're gonna have a bad heart

And remember, smoking isn't joking
