James Louis Starr, 74, of Victorville, Calif. and formerly of Joiner, died April 21, 2008.

He was born November 23, 1933 at Dean's Island. He was a retired factory worker and a member of the Baptist Faith.

He is survived by two daughters, Lorri Miller of Las Vegas, Nev., Misty Dew of Barston, Calif.; two very special friends, Jerlin Starr of Victorville, Calif., Lorean Dew of Barston, Calif.; one son, Frank James Starr of Victorville, Calif.; four sisters, Pearl Starr of Joiner, Emma Starr of Chicago, Ill., Donna Morgan of Jonesboro, Alberta Graves of Madison, Wis.; two brothers, Frank Starr, Jr. of Chicago, Ill., Charles Starr of Wilson; and one grandchild.

The visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 9 at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday, May 10 at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola with Dr. Moses Black officiating. Burial will follow at Shady Grove in Evadale.
