Gerald Wayne Harris, Sr., 60, of Osceola died May 8, 2008.

He was born April 11, 1948 in Hernando, Miss. He was a factory worker, a member of the Army, and a member of the Baptist Faith. He is preceded in death by both of his parents, Charles Henry Harris and Maudie Knight, one daughter, Tracy Lynn Harris, one brother, Charles Ricky Harris and one sister, Margaret Harris.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Harris; one daughter, Leann Harris of Osceola; one son, Gerald Harris, Jr. of Osceola; one sister, Henrietta Childress of Osceola; five grandchildren, Taylor White, Kaylynn White, John Davis, Tracey Harris and Krysta Harris, all of Osceola.

The service was Monday, May 12 at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Burial followed at Garden Point Cemetery in Etowah with Bro. Tommy Wilbanks and Bro. Jim Roller officiating.
