Daisy Ruffin Johnson, 87, of Lepanto died Monday, May 12, 2008 at her residence.

She was born June 17, 1920 in Tunica, Miss. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lepanto Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete Ruffin and Ella Mae Bolden.

She is survived by one daughter, Charlyne (Robert) Buckner of Lepanto; one granddaughter she raised, Tawuna Cypress of Lepanto; one son, James H. (Ethel) Cypress of Somerville, Tenn.; one grandson she raised, Jackie Cypress of Lepanto; one brother, Robert Flagg of Lepanto; 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.

The service was on Thursday, May 16 at the Lepanto Church of Christ. Burial followed at Pine Rest Cemetery in Lepanto with Minister Derrick Glovers officiating.
