Helping to represent the Northeast team, Maddox and Tyler will be joined by their coach, Brian Weathers, who was chosen to be an assistant coach.
"This is a great opportunity for them," said Weathers. "They need to take full advantage of the games and the exposure. They both had outstanding years and deserve this."
Part of that exposure will come on Sunday at Nettleton High School before the games actually begin. During that time, players will go through different tests, including 60-yard dash, pop times, cages as well as other tests to measure their performance. Some 150 invitation letters were sent out to colleges and professional teams inviting them to the event.
Each team will play three games, one each against the other teams in the state with play beginning at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 29, when the NE team takes the field against the SE team. Additional games for the NE team will be at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Monday against first the NW team before finishing up with the SW team.
