Nix wins county judge's runoff

Charles Nix
Charles Nix of Harrisburg will be the new county judge come January after securing the seat in a runoff held Tuesday, June 10. Nix won the election with 1,278 votes against opponent Steve Jernigan of Lepanto who received 1,160 votes.

The runoff election was held after Nix and Jernigan won the most votes in a May 20 primary against incumbent Doyle Hillis.
