Harriet Elouise Cox, 91, of McCrory died Tuesday in McCrory. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Pitt Dickerson and Erna M. Sparks Dickerson; husband Purl D. Cox; daughter, Medora E. Goff; brothers, Eastman and Kaylor Dickerson; and sister Patsy Ingram.

Cox was born in Morton March 8, 1917, was a homemaker and a charter member of Fair Oaks Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing and quilting.

Survivors are her son, William Leslie Cox of Indianapolis, Ind.; daughter, Sherry Ann Melton of Greenfield, Ind.; brothers J. C. Dickerson and Marion H. Dickerson; sisters Winnie Lee McNeely, Edrie Woodall and Iva Reed; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

Services wee Saturday at Fair Oaks Baptist Church and burial followed in Crosslawn Cemetery in Wynne.
