A fire at McDaniels Apartments in Marked Tree burned two apartments and caused damaged to adjoining apartments in a blaze that started in the early morning hours of July 25. Marked Tree Fire Department responded to the fire at 1:33 a.m. and worked until 3:15 a.m. to contain the blaze. Eleven firefighters were dispatched to the scene. According to reports from the fire department, the fire originated from the cook stove in apartment four. The apartment was rented to Justin Gean, and the building is owned by Mack McDaniel. No injuries were reported.
