Robert "Bobby" Cox

Robert "Bobby" Cox, 69, of Jonesboro died Wednesday, July 2 at UAMS in Little Rock.

He was born in DeWitt to Clyde Elsworth Cox and Leota Richardson Cox. He was a retired farmer who spent his farming years in Waldenburg. He was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, chess, playing with his 3 grandchildren and spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving husband, father and grandpa. He made lasting impressions on each life he touched.

He is survived by his wife, Chlorita Cox; two daughters, Deborah Perian Liles, Andrea McAdams, both of Jonesboro; three grandchildren, Hillary Renae Gould, Christopher Robert McAdams, Matthew Michael McAdams all of Jonesboro; and four sisters, Joyce Griffin of Hardy, Arnita Reed of Olive Branch, Miss., Goldine Templeton and JoAnn Davis both of Jonesboro.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, July 5 at Walnut Street Baptist Church with Bro. Glen Putman and Bro. Harrison Johns officiating. His burial followed at Waldenburg Cemetery.

Pallbearers included Michael Davis, Colby Golden, Mitchell Keiffer, John Swartz, Jr., Richard Swartz and Arlen Welch.

Honorary pallbearers were Glenn Eubanks, Melvin Keiffer, Scott McAdams, Lohnes Tiner and Donald Wright.
