Gerthie Faye Mack

Gerthie Faye Mack, 79, of Trumann, died Friday, August 8, 2008 at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was born in Walnut, Miss., and had lived in Trumann since 1965. She was formerly of Marked Tree, a housewife and of the Pentecostal faith.

Mack was preceded in death by her husband, George Warren Mack in 1975, one daughter, Debbie McCrary, one grandson, Arlen Dale (Junior) Campbell one great-granddaughter, Madison Crawford; two sisters, five brothers and her parents, Ruben and Myrtle Wilbanks Armstrong.

Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Campbell and Georgia Cook both of Trumann, Cynthia Mack of Robinsonville, Miss., one God-daughter, Cherri Roseles of Robinsonville, Miss.; one son, John Wayne Armstrong, Sr. of Trumann; 16 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Tuesday at the Full Gospel Tabernacle near Trumann with Sister Shelby Shelton officiating. Burial followed in the Marked Tree Cemetery in Marked Tree under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann.

Active pallbearers were Trey Carter, John Armstrong Jr., Myles Armstrong, Arron McCrary, Gary Campbell and Josh Campbell.

Honorary pallbearers were Dewayne Schrader, Joey Bloodworth and David Russell Jr.
