Kathryn Louise Walton

Kathryn Louise Walton, 78 of Trumann, died Saturday at the family residence in Trumann. She was born in Bassett, Ark., and had lived in Trumann for the past 40 years and was formerly of Dyess. She was a homemaker and member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church near Trumann. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Henrietta McLaughlin; two grandsons, Tommy Floyd "T-Tom" Hendrix and Eric Kyle Hendrix; great-granddaughter, Kamaryn McLaughlin; two sisters, two brothers and was the daughter of the late John and Alva Etta Williams Barnes.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Floyd Ray Walton of the home; three daughters, Martha Webb of Little Rock, Kathy Hooks and Mary Jane Hendrix both of Trumann; three sisters, Betty Wise and Hazel Noblin both of Jonesboro and Janie Wooten of Dyess; four brothers, Jim Barnes of Trumann, L.K. Barnes and William Barnes both of Memphis, and Jerry Barnes of Dyess.; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter.

Graveside funeral services were held Tuesday at Oaklawn Cemetery with Rev. Larry Loggins, Dale Walton and Justin Blaxton officiating. Burial followed under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.

Pallbearers wereScott McLaughlin, Steven Blaxton, Justin Blaxton, Joshua Hooks, Donnie Wise and Carl Wise.
