Dr. McDaniel, who worked in his self-described "Cotton Patch Clinic" was an amazing man, and his wife, who worked as his nurse, was an equally strong and supportive woman. It seems from the stories that have been told that he or she delivered every child born in Tyronza from 1922 until 1965.
Along with the medical care he gave the community, he also served in many local, state and national organizations and was the proud owner of the Marked Tree-Tyronza Tigers, an amateur baseball team.
Opening day hours for the exhibit will be 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. During the rest of the month, normal museum hours will be observed: 9 a.m. -- 3 p.m. Monday -- Friday and Noon -- 3 p.m. on Saturday. The exhibit is free. However, donations will be accepted.
Everyone is invited to join the museum in honoring the memory of these two remarkable people.
