Myrtle Rand of Tyronza died Thursday, Oct. 9 in her home. She leaves five daughters, Pamela Morris, Juanita Cross of Tyronza, Carolyn Dabney of West Memphis, Dinah Young of Turrell and Cheri Rand of Marked Tree; five sons, Jerome Sturdivant of Marked Tree, Donald McGowan of Tyronza, Charles Rand of Pagosa Spring, Col., Terrane Rand and Jeffery Rand of Las Vegas, Nev.; mother, Mattie Seals of Jackson, Mich.; four sisters, Irene Westley of Turrell, Diane Houston of Denver, Colo., Beverie Cobbs and Jelita Nelcoms of Chicago, Ill.; three brothers, Leon Johnson of Jackson, Mich., Pleas Seals of Atlanta, Ga. and Edwain Cobbs of Chicago, Ill.; 36 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Oct. 10 at Rock of Ages Church in Tyronza with burial in Gilfield Cemetery, Birdsong. Anthony Funeral Home of West Memphis was in charge of the arrangements.
